Like: False Advertisement Bank (FAB): Signed Up For Their Credit Card While They Had An Offer Going On To Waive Off The Annual Fee If I Meet A Certain Spend Criteria. I Met The Spending Criteria But Was Still Charged The Annual Fee (AED 1500) In The First Statement Itself. First Of All, Reaching Their Customer Service Agent Is Next To Impossible Because They Put You On Hood For 20 Mins And You Ultimately Give Up. It Was Not Until One Of Their Agents Told Me A Trick On How To Get Connected With An Agent Instantaneously That I Could Contact Them. Upon Enquiry They Asked Me To Make The Payment With The Promise That The Annual Fee Would Be Reversed In The Following Statement. However That Did Not Happen And When I Called Again They Said That It Takes 90 Days To Complete The Process (which Is Stupid). Even After 90 Days The Charges Were Not Reversed (I Was Angry But Not Surprised). When I Called Their Customer Service They Acted Apologetic And Confirmed That The Amount Would Definitely Be Reversed In The Next Week. This (obviously) Did Not Happen Which Led Me To Call Them Again. This Time The Customer Representative Said They’ll Call Me Again In 3-5 Days. Surprisingly They Did Call After 5-7 Days. However This Time They Had The Audacity To Question The Validity Of My Claim By Asking Whether I Had Signed Up Through App Or Through Agent Or Whether I Had Previously Held A Card With FAB. At This Point I’m Pretty Convinced That They Are Trying To Weasel Their Way Out Of Returning My Money Back. So, If You Are Like Me, Trying To Get An Offer On A Credit Card From FAB, I’d Say Don’t Bother. It’s Not Worth The Pain. Better Try Your Luck With HSBC Who In My Experience Have The Best Customer Service In UAE.
